Athletics

The foundation of the athletics program at SCS is a commitment to use sports as a tool to teach life skills through leadership, service and teamwork. Sports requires discipline, the ability to resolve conflict, and healthy interactions – all essential life skills.

At SCS, all students can be a part of a team, recognizing each student has a different skill set – whether that be a player or referee on the court, a timekeeper on the sidelines, or a manager on the bench. We recognize all roles are important in making a team function in the healthiest way possible, which is why it is important to help students discover which roles they are designed for.

Senior Years teams compete in Zone 13 of the Manitoba High School Association and SCS is classified as a "AAA" school. Senior Years students generally field teams in golf, cross-country running, volleyball, basketball, badminton, and track and field.

The Middle Years teams compete in the Hanover School Division Athletics Association. Middle Years students generally field teams in cross-country running, volleyball, basketball, badminton and track and field.
