Financial Assistance
Though we do use a model to calculate assistance consistently, each family’s situation is unique, so below we provide some examples to give people an idea of how they might compare. The following list illustrates what families may qualify for:
- Family of 6 living in Steinbach. Four students enrolled at SCS from grades 3 to 10. Combined gross earnings of $105,000. Net pay of $76,300. Canada Childcare Benefit of $15,400. Eligible for financial assistance of 15% of tuition.
- Family of 4 living in Steinbach. Students in grade 7 and 9 at SCS. Combined gross earnings of both parents of $100,000. Combined net pay of $73,000. Canada Childcare Benefit of $6,530. Eligible for financial assistance of 10% of tuition.
- Family of 4 living in Blumenort. Students in 5 and 7 at SCS. Gross earnings of $65,000. Net pay of $46,300. Canada Childcare Benefit of $6,850. Eligible for financial assistance of 27% of tuition.
- Family of 5 living in Steinbach. Students in grades 1, 4 and 7 at SCS. Gross earnings of $50,000. Combined net pay of $40,000. Canada Childcare Benefit of $18,520. Eligible for financial assistance of 29% of tuition.
- Single parent with two children living in Grunthal, one child enrolled in grade 4 at SCS. Gross earnings of $38,000, net pay of $27,200. Canada Childcare Benefit of 11,690. Eligible for financial assistance of 42% of tuition.
